[source: prlog.org]“I have no seeds for these birds,” said a smiling Lil Kim as she left a Harlem sound studio where she was perfecting the last part of her upcoming show. Her response was to a photographer who asked about the Twitter beef with Harlem Act Azealia Banks.
Banks, a new comer, accused Lil Kim of snubbing her on a collaboration and for not writing her own lyrics. Lil Kim released a statement through her publicist denying ever meeting Banks but still said she is grateful for Banks being a fan.
Lil Kim herself has been on the topic of discussion since rival Nicki Minaj’s career took off with her 2011 release Pink Friday. Since then Lil Kim has been working hard on her untitled album with hip hop heavy weights like Common and Rick Ross whom she previously worked with on R&B singer Monica’s single from her 2012 release. Rappers Tyler the Creator, Wale, and a possible collaboration with Lauryn Hill who also is looking for a 2012 release to her long awaited EP. Hill and Lil Kim were supposed to release a remix of Lil Kim’s 2005 single “Lighters Up” but plans fell through.
The project is expected to be released this Fall through her new label Universal Music Group but before that the Grammy Award winner has embarked on her Return of the Queen Tour that set to begin in 15 days.

Lil Kim Says Azealia Banks Is Trying To "Use Her For Publicity"
Two days ago, Azealia Banks posted this cryptic tweet:
"It really sucks when someone you respect and admire is trying to act brand new when all u did was reach out and try to work.."
Kim's team responded by releasing a press statement:
Earlier today a press release went out making a claim that there was friction between Hip Hop Icon “Lil Kim” and aspiring hip artist Azealia Banks. The release comes as a surprise to our team, being that my client and azealia have NEVER spoke to one another or met AT ALL. Kim was actually very flattered azealia’s public admiration for her, which is why it’s so hard to understand how someone who claims to be a true Lil Kim fan could flip the script so easily on someone who was supposedly their idol. It is also VERY interesting that NO ONE from her team made any attempts to reach out to anyone from our team to voice any concerns or problems that they may have had. I have NEVER heard of anyone having a conflict with someone they have NEVER met with or personally spoke with. We have no idea what they are referencing and have no desire to discuss the matter any further as there is nothing to talk about. It honestly seems that someone from Azealia’s team would rather have her fans buy into manufactured drama instead of buying music. Kim knows nothing of any beef, and furthermore has had nothing but nice things to say about her. We don’t know what this is and will not address this any further. It seems that this is another sad attempt by someone trying to use my client for publicity. We wish her nothing but the best.
Earlier this morning, Azealia Banks posted a series of tweets where she explained the reasons behind the cryptic message.
"Okay so true tea is that Lil Kim got mad that I wrote a verse for her on a record I wanted her on."
"Everyone knows Lil Kim doesn't write her own raps and I saw this as a faster more efficient way of getting the track done."
"She then had her assistant write me some long ass offensive email about how Lil Kim writes her own raps and doesn't need anyone's help."
"Who cares about what you use to do.... WILL YOU DO THE TRACK??!"
"There is no beef. At all."
"@LilKim all the time it took u to get ur team to issue a press release bout this YOU COULDA WROTE THE VERSE!!!"
"@LilKim you DO know that YOUR management where the ones who said u needed us to write a reference verse in the first place .. Right?"
"@LilKim real talk I just want that verse .... ya know..? I'm not really here for ur team and they're pseudo professionalism"
"@LilKim u can still use the verse of you want.. Or feel free to write your own. But you should really do the verse"
"I will never ever EVER have my team issue a press release and try to make it look like the media did it themselves."
CLSDASH responded to Azealia's tweets on Twitter
"For the record the song u sent was fukin WACKKKKKKKKKK! That's what the real issue was RT @AZEALIABANKS: @LilKim YOU KNOW YOU WANT TOOO"
"When I tell yall the song was horribly trash I mean TRASH.. Idgaf who manages shorty she gotta come better than that."
"We play the song.. Kim lookin at me.. I'm lookin at Kim.. We burst out laughing.. Me: "So u wanna do it". Kim: "Yea.. But this is horrible"
So, what do you think of this mess? Should Kim fire her entire team?
