(OK Mag) The latest competitor to take on Dancing with the Stars, rapper Lil' Kim, says she's thrilled to be part of the show.
"I'm a huge fan!" she tells The Insider. "When I was in prison, me and my girls used to watch it. My girls were like, 'Kim, you need to be on that show.' In prison you have to all agree what shows you watch. If we can't agree, it doesn't get watched. Everyone watched it faithfully. It's like the #1 show in prison!"

Im in New York City at the moment training up my new partner for this season of DWTS, none other than the wonderful LIL KIM... Im happy to say that she has surpassed my expectations so far and think she will surprise a lot of people. I love working with LIL KIM she is so unbelievably nice and intuitive, she has been a great student. I miss playing with the band and cant wait to play every week at the Grove next to CBS studios in LA, so wee can keep up our chops during DWTS and meet everyone who comes.... Natalie Portman Is A Lil Kim Fan
SNL's Andy Samberg revealed in an interview with the Boston Herald...
Boston Herald: Thanks to Sarah Silverman and Jimmy Kimmel’s profane skits with Matt Damon and Ben Affleck, stars are willing to be increasingly raunchy for a late-night laugh. But are you ever worried you’ll push it too far - like asking Natalie Portman to rap about sniffing airplane glue and slitting people’s throats?
Andy Samberg: Here’s the thing, (laughs) that was her idea. She loved “Lazy Sunday” and wanted to do something like that. We were very nervous. We liked her, but we had just met her and we didn’t want it to be just another white-person-rapping skit. But she said she loved Lil’ Kim and busted out with these filthy Lil’ Kim rhymes right away, so we gave her the most filthy stuff that we could come up with. (source: Boston Herald)
People magazine reports: "New Dancing with the Stars contestant Lil' Kim, chatting with Khloe Kardashian and other friends during a party at West Village hot spot Casa La Femme. According to a source, Lil' Kim looked amazing. "She has definitely lost weight," the source says. "She was actually really happy [and] sat at a private table with some friends" as belly dancers gyrated around the fire pit."
