This 1st annual Brooklyn Muse Awards to Honor Lil Kim
The BK Style Foundation launches its SS2019 fashion week with the "Power of Influencers Awards" by honoring the legends of our time in partnership with Live-N-Direct TV. With diversity and inclusion as it's hallmark, The BK Style Foundation will debut an awards ceremony for our icons, whose work has served to motivate others in industries related to film, art, philanthropy, business and fashion. The ceremony will take place September 28th, 2018 at the Brooklyn Borough Hall from 6:00-9:00pm. The event will be hosted by the office of the Brooklyn Borough President (Eric Adams).
This 1st annual Muse Award Ceremony celebrates Brooklyn's diversity and culture especially for those who have inspired our community while supporting and uplifting the marketing of the Brooklyn borough. Honorees will include Rap legend Lil Kim @lilkimthequeenbee alongside artist Young Paris, and Clothiers MOSHOOD, to name a few. Still in its infancy, the Muse Awards is a celebration of leadership in Brooklyn culture. The Muse award recognizes its honorees as artists, creatives and influencers that have continued to shape our community as well as to inspire those less served.
Cardi B posted on her Instagram that her look in the music video for "Backin' It Up" (Pardison Fontaine featuring Cardi B) was inspired by Lil' Kim.

Billboard's 40 Most Anticipated Albums for Fall 2018
Lil’ Kim, TBD (November)
When Lil’ Kim finally does release her new album -- her first since The Naked Truth, well over a decade ago -- it's practically inevitable that most of the narrative around it will try to slot it into drama with longtime sparring partner (and current drama magnet) Nicki Minaj. Let's just hope that the album reminds listeners enough of the Bad Boy star's ahead-of-her-time greatness in the '90s and '00s that it rises above any such messiness and reestablishes Kim as an MC who demands attention on record as well as in the headlines. “Every song has a different vibe,” Kim told Billboard in July. “I think people are gonna be shocked.”
