Five years ago, Lil' Kim was supposed to do a guest feature on an Azealia Banks record, but got offended when Azealia sent her a guide verse.
Azealia tweeted this five years ago:"Okay so true tea is that Lil Kim got mad that I wrote a verse for her on a record I wanted her on. Everyone knows Lil Kim doesn’t write her own raps and I saw this as a faster more efficient way of getting the track done."
After hearing Kim's new buzz single, Took Us A Break, she reached out to Kim on Instagram:
"I've wanted to make music with you for so many years Kim. I have so much vision about Kim x Europa x Fashion, you were the first female rapper to merge fashion and hip hop and you have so many fashion fans who know you are the mother of the whole female rapper fashion thing. Apologies if when I sent you that verse you thought I was trying to write for you - I wasn't! I only sent the reference because I wanted to map the song out and it was literally me doing what I thought you would sound like in that section, I only put it in there so there wouldn't be a blank space and you could understand the structure of the song when I sent it :( ... the girls love and adore you, I still adore you. I hope one day we can can link in person and straighten things out because I was so confused and heartbroken when our collab fell thru. If nothing else, just know that I never meant to throw shade with Van Vogue...I was just young and excited...I hope this note finds you in good spirits. XX -AB"
Kim's response:
"omg Azealia !! That was so sweet of you, and the things you said about me a couple of months ago was so beautiful and actual facts. I'm so proud of your constant attempt at growth! And let me just say, I don't think you know how much I love love love "212" still til this day. I've always wanted to tell you that you are so talented! I'm sure our paths will cross again. Sealed with a 💋"

New Music! "Took Us a Break" + Hot97 Interview
The Queen Bee just released a new song entitled "Took Us a Break"
Available now on iTunes and Spotify worldwide.
Tune into the Ebro in the Morning Show on Hot97 tomorrow at 8:AM Est (Friday 3rd) for a special interview with Lil' Kim.
TMZ: Remy Ma's first order of business after landing a new recording deal is teaming up with Lil Kim and shading the hell outta Nicki Minaj.
Sources close to the deal tell TMZ ... Columbia Records exec Shawn Holiday signed Remy to a multi-million dollar deal, and Remy immediately started working with Nicki's arch nemesis, Kim. We're told their track is called, "Wake Me Up."
The track is riddled with subliminal shots at Nicki:
-- "That crown I'm gon take that sh*t. Cause you a clown and homie don't play that sh*t."
-- "I heard he lay that d***. You let them filet that fish. You just met him how he bae that quick?"
Sounds like Remy's taking shots at Nicki's relationship with Nas ... which, publicly at least, took off pretty quickly. We're told Remy and Kim shot a music video for the track last week in the Bronx.
Remy has a new manager too ... Vincent Herbert, who used to rep his now estranged wife, Tamar Braxton, before she filed for divorce.
