A long lost Foxy Brown and Lil’ Kim collaboration has been released from the vault.
During his appearance on Fat Joe’s Instagram Live show this week, former Bad Boy producer Rashad “Ringo” Smith played a snippet of the never-before-heard track. The song, titled “Enjoy Yourself,” was reportedly set to appear on Foxy and Kim’s ill-fated joint album Thelma and Louise back in 1997.
This was the first time the song has ever been played for the public. The snippet only contains Foxy’s verse, on which she raps about a “dynamic duo.” When Joe asked if he could hear Kim’s verse, Rashad responded, “Soon come.”
Thelma and Louise never saw the light of day, but the reason remains unclear. Foxy’s brother Gavin Marchand claimed that then Def Jam CEO Lyor Cohen had offered Kim and Foxy $1 million to show up to the studio to record the joint album, but they were no shows.
“They were both getting $500,000 each just to show up at Hit Factory,” Marchand told Vibe in 2011. “They never showed up, and the project never happened. They both cut their phones off.” (rap-up)

Saweetie Says Lil Kim Has The Best Bar In Female Rap History
Saweetie is giving Lil’ Kim her flowers.
Speaking with Issa Rae for Apple Music’s “Issa’s Raedio Show,” the “Best Friend” rapper revealed who she thinks has the best bar in female rap history, bestowing the honors on the Queen Bee for her 1996 single “Not Tonight.”
“I think Lil’ Kim’s ‘Not Tonight.’ I think this is the best bar in female history,” Saweetie said of the Hard Core classic. “I like when she says, ‘Tryin’ to impress me with your five G stones / I’ll give you 10 Gs, ni**a, if you leave me alone.’ When I heard that, I was like…I felt it. I knew what she meant and that’s just the most boss thing someone could ever say. Like, I love that line.”
Saweetie said her mother put her on to the Brooklyn rap icon when she was growing up. “My mom listened to a lot of Lil’ Kim and Foxy [Brown]. I’ve always liked their demeanor. Their demeanor is just, I know that when they step into the room, you can just feel that bossness. They always just felt so powerful to me.” (rap-up)
